Terms of service

KeepsakeCode is operated by HUIWANLI LLC, Los Angeles, California, United States. Using the service means you accept these terms.

A page for your event that guests reach by scanning one QR code, where they can add photos, voice messages and written notes — and, on Plus plans, short video messages; printable cards carrying that code; and a memory page that the same code opens after the event.

The short code and its link do not change for the life of your event, so anything you print keeps working.

Photos, recordings and notes shared at your event belong to the people who made them and to you as the host. We claim no ownership.

We store and display that content only to run your event: showing it to your guests, building your memory page, and packaging it for you to download. We do not use it to advertise, and we do not show it to anyone else.

• Only share content you have the right to share, and be considerate about photographs of other people.
• Nothing unlawful, hateful, or sexual involving minors. We will remove it and close the event.
• Keep your private dashboard link to yourself — anyone holding it can see and manage everything at your event.

Original photos and voice recordings are kept at full size for your plan's file-storage period — 6 months on Keepsake Event, 24 months on Keepsake Plus — after the event; we email you before anything expires. The memory page stays online afterwards with web-sized photos. Anything you delete is recoverable for 30 days, then permanently erased.

Uploaded videos are converted into a widely compatible HD MP4 format, up to 1080p, for playback and download; the video file exactly as uploaded is not retained. Online video playback is available for 6 monthsafter the event or gift reveal; downloadable video files follow your plan's file-storage period.

Download your files before your storage period ends if you want to keep them. That is the one deadline that matters.

We work hard to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, and we are not able to guarantee that files will never be lost. Please keep your own copy of anything irreplaceable. KeepsakeCode is a convenient way to collect and share memories from a day — it is not a backup service.

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the event.

You can buy directly on this site (payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details).

For purchases made on this site: you have a 30-day refund window— a full refund within 30 days of purchase, provided your event hasn't started and no guest content has been collected. If a technical failure on our side stopped guests from sharing during your event, we'll refund you in full or run a replacement event free. After a full refund the event page closes; its content is kept for 30 days and then deleted. Details in our refund policy.

Either way, if something has gone wrong with your event, write to us first at [email protected] — most problems are quicker to fix than to dispute.

You can optionally sign up for transactional text updates about your account and events, on our SMS sign-up page or from your event dashboard. Signing up is never a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Once messaging begins you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELPfor help — or just email us and we'll remove your number. Details of how we handle your number are in the Privacy Policy.

You can ask us to delete your event and everything in it at any time. We may close an event that breaks the rules above, and will tell you why.
