The one person who misses the party
Whoever the party is for spends the entire evening being pulled from one conversation to the next. They see almost none of what actually happens in the room, and none of it at all from the corner they never made it to.
Meanwhile everyone photographs everything, and it all disappears into forty separate camera rolls. The “send me that one!” promises are sincere and almost never kept.
For a 40th, a 60th, a 70th, the photos are only half of it. What you actually want is the stories — the friend from university with a version of an event nobody in the family has ever heard.

Put the code on the invitation. Guests reply in about ten seconds with whether they are coming and how many they are bringing, plus a note for you. Export the whole list as a spreadsheet when the venue asks for a headcount.
On the night
Photos and memories, all evening
The code switches to collecting on the morning of the party without you touching anything. Guests upload from the tables as the night goes on, and the message prompt asks for a favourite memory or a birthday wish — which gets you paragraphs instead of “Happy Birthday!!”.

A page you can hand over
Three days later the code becomes the finished page. For a surprise party this is the actual gift: one link holding everything everyone brought, including the voice messages, ready to send or to open together.

Including the ones taken before you arrived, after you left, and from the table you never got to. Full resolution, up to 20 MB each and 20 at a time, straight from the camera roll.
Voice messages
Recorded right in the browser, with nothing to install. At a milestone birthday this is the part people play back twice — a friend of fifty years saying something out loud instead of writing it in a card.
Written memories
The prompt asks for a favourite memory or a wish, not a signature. What comes back reads like a book of short letters rather than a page of names.

Questions people ask
- Does this work for a kids' birthday too?
- Yes, and it solves a slightly different problem: every parent in the room has photos of your child that you will otherwise never see. One code on the party table gets you every angle of the cake moment instead of only your own.
- Can we keep it a surprise?
- Yes. Nothing is sent to the person the party is for — the private management link goes to whoever creates the event. Guests upload during the party, and you show them the finished page whenever the moment is right.
- How do we get people to record a voice message?
- The page asks them directly, with wording written for a birthday rather than a generic “leave a message”. Guests who would never open a voice recorder app will happily tap a button that is already in front of them.
- Some of our guests are not good with phones.
- There is nothing to install and nothing to sign into. If someone can open their camera, they can use it. In practice the harder part is remembering the cards are on the table, which is why the print pack includes tents that stand up rather than cards that lie flat.
- How long do we keep the photos?
- Originals stay downloadable for 6 months on the $29 plan and 24 months on the $49 plan, and you can pull everything down as a ZIP at any point in that window. We email you well before it closes.
- Can one code cover a whole birthday weekend?
- Yes. Set the event to span the days you need and the code stays in collecting mode across all of them — the dinner on Friday and the lunch on Sunday land on the same page.
